Business Process Modelling

As a Business Analyst it is your responsibility to understand the business and to ensure that requirements and subsequent solutions meet the needs of that business. But how do you know this? A common and recommended method is business process modelling.

Based on a foundation of well-proven practices and techniques, this course teaches Business Analysts how to model businesses in current and proposed states, with a particular emphasis on business process modelling. You will also learn how to bridge the gap between business and system models, ensuring that your project requirements and solutions strongly align to business needs. As a result, this course will help you to deliver successful projects that generate valued business outcomes.

The course places particular focus on modern business modelling techniques, including business use cases and the Unified Modelling Language (UML). The course briefly references Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) as an alternative notation for modelling processes.

This course is endorsed by the International Institute of Business Analysis and aligns to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® Version 2.0. This course contributes 14 Professional Development Hours (PD Hours) towards Qualifying for your IIBA® certification and 14 Continuing Development Units (CDUs) towards your recertification for either the CCBATM or CBAP® designation - use the IIBA® course code E031-002A.
