The course includes 8 hours of instructor-led training time with additional time used for practice exam questions and reviewing model answers.
Programme Objectives
Following the completion of this programme, you will be better prepared to sit the CCBA exam and will:
- Have reviewed key BABOK concepts, techniques and terminology.
- Be able to apply key BABOK principles to identify answers to exam questions.
- Have gained familiarity with the styles and types of questions expected to be in the CCBA exam.
- Have received tips on how to compile data for lodging an application to the IIBA.
- Be able to use basic test-taking techniques to improve exam performance.
Pre-course Preparation
This will be an intensive two day training course. You will need to come to the course prepared and with the expectation that you will be doing homework outside of course time. Once you have booked and paid for the course, Equinox will provide a pre-reading pack to assist you with your pre-course preparation. You need to have a level of familiarity with the pre-reading material before the start of the course and we recommend allowing 3 weeks prior to the course to prepare.
The pre-course pack will include the following items:
- An outline of the programme
- An Equinox Quick Reference guide for each BABOK Knowledge Area
- Sample CCBA questions (to be submitted prior to the course start)
- A copy of the BABOK guide
- An IIBA CCBA Handbook.

Introduction
- Overview the programme
- Tips for submitting a CCBA application to the IIBA to qualify to sit the exam
- Exam questions and differences between CCBA and CBAP exams
- Introduction to the BABOK
Knowledge Area Revision
For each knowledge area within the BABOK the group will:
- Undertake and then review BABOK practice exam questions and answers
- Discuss Knowledge Area concepts, techniques and key terms
- Discuss any additional questions
The knowledge areas covered will include:
- Business analysis planning and monitoring
- Elicitation
- Requirements management and communication
- Enterprise analysis
- Requirements analysis
- Solution assessment and validation
Final preparation
- Exam tips and techniques
- Receive full set of 150 online BABOK practice exam questions.
After the course
- Receive results of 150 question online practice exam
- Optionally retake the 150 question online practice exam.
Audience
The intended audience is intermediate to senior business analysts (or people who perform the business analyst role) with at least two to three years of practical business analysis experience, who intend to sit the CCBA exam in the near future.
Prerequisites
Business Analysts that attend this programme will:
- Be required to undertake self-study before and during (evening homework) the programme
- Have read the IIBA CCBA Handbook and other pre-course materials provided
- Be able to meet the IIBA's criteria to obtain the CCBA certification.
