National Dog Database Training Workshop

Note: this course is only available to authorised users of the National Dog Database.

The National Dog Database went live on May 1st 2006 and for the first time provides a countrywide overview of dog control in New Zealand.

There are great benefits to the animal control industry including the ability to track classified owners and dogs, monitor the national infringement count of owners, look up ‘out of district’ dog and owner details, locate dogs when only limited information is available, and contribute accurate data to ongoing policy analysis.

The NDD Training Workshop is ‘hands on’ and uses realistic scenarios to explore the functionality of the NDD web-based application. The workshop provides ample time for discussion to allow less experienced users to learn from their peers. Participants are encouraged to bring ‘real’ examples from their area of experience with the NDD.
