Appointment of New Chairman - Kim Wicksteed

Equinox IT has appointed former Saatchi & Saatchi CEO Kim Wicksteed as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors. Kim has operated as an Independent Director for Equinox IT since December 2009 and prior to that was an advisor to the company.

Kim replaces Paul Ramsay who held the Chairman role for 16 years. Paul will continue full involvement in the company as an Executive Director on the Board and as a Principal Consultant.

Kim has extensive experience in the advertising, branding and marketing industries and is also a savvy business leader. During his 13 years with Saatchi & Saatchi, Kim was promoted from General Manager to Managing Director and then to CEO for New Zealand. Kim was behind the implementation of the Absolutely Positively Wellington campaign and is a former trustee of the New Zealand International Festival of the Arts.

Now living in the Hawke’s Bay, in theory Kim is supposed to be taking life a little slower. However, with several other director roles and his own consulting company ‘ADVICE’, Kim is regularly in Wellington and seems to be busier than ever!
