Earlier this month Equinox IT participated in the New Zealand Business Games 2012 in Wellington. We had 5 teams compete in various events including men's indoor soccer, golf, indoor netball and mixed indoor soccer.
The men's indoor soccer team won three of their six matches, with one of our team who shall remain nameless (huh hmm Adam) scoring an own goal against a rival IT company.
Our golf team braved the wind to score 4 under par at 68. I’m not too sure what that means but under par sounds good… Someone needs to explain to Ben that ‘closest to the pin’ does not mean ‘rooftop of clubhouse’.
We had two Equinox teams participate in the indoor netball, including battling each other at one point during the event. One of our teams finished 4th and the other 6th in our pool (I'm not mentioning how many teams were in the pool).
Finally the mixed indoor soccer team finished third in the pool (missing out on second place by points differential) with one draw, two wins, and one loss.
Many thanks to everyone from Equinox, friends and family who participated. Thank you also to the Business Games organisers. We had a great time and we're looking forward to doing it again next year.
